Academic Services Library
The University has agricultural library on the campus. There is a computer catalogue, 30 PC’s and 6 photocopiers. Socrates students have free access to all computer services including the Internet. The library contains over 300.000 volumes, 700 titles of current periodicals and microfilms in Polish and foreign languages. The Library is closed in August. Incoming students possessing Student Identity Card have open access to all computer services, including Internet. There are also the computer services free of charge provided in some buildings of the WAU’s Faculties. Sport Facilities A sports centre with modern indoor and outdoor facilities offers a wide range of possibilities for sport. There is a swimming pool, sport hall for team games, fitness room, athletics room, tennis courts and a soccer field. Swimming pool The structure consists of two swimming pools (25 ´ 12.5 m and 12.5 ´ 6 m), pool for children, water chute (70 m long), two whirlpools and solarium. Opening hours from Monday and Friday 7.00 am – 9.45 pm Equestrian Club University’s stable in Wolica, close to Ursynów Campus, offers lessons in horse riding for beginners and advanced riders. Over 20 horses are awaiting students eager to join training in an outdoor manege or go on a cross-country ride. There is a possibility to arrange individual lessons on request. Instructions are given in Polish or in English.
